Dear friends,
In this issue I wanted you to know that
one of the Oldboys living in Margarita is seriously ill.
He has thanked the ASAA for the
collaboration that he is about to receive,
The medication and the money are in the
hands of Adolfo Aumaitre, who kindly brought it over from Trinidad some months
back.
Hopefully Adolfo is going to Maturin for
the process of handing over the medicine, goods.

Our site
has had its ups n downs last year. We
hope to pick up where we left off.
We
dedicated so much to our Venezuelan assistance it took away some of our normal
communications.
The
highlight of last year is the older boys arranged and had a successful reunion
without us the younger brothers for once that was great
Hope it
continues however we the younger ones must keep up the wonderful relationship
we have established since Sir Ladislao
Kertesz, Sir Nigel Boos
& Sir Don Mitchell their hard work we must
continue.
We are a
strong old boys club. So, feel proud to
be part of history.
One Luv One
Brotherhood.
The last
watch is gone Sir Fr. Augustine so we are it now.
We support
and best wishes go out to Sir Fr Abbot, keeper of our
Castle. Long Live The Mount.

Don,
Thanks for this
note. I was unaware that Shis had taken
over control of the MSB dB, and you’re so right.
Instead
of referring any notes I might have on the matter to Kaz, and with all due
respect to him for his agreement to take over control of the dB after I could
no longer do it,
I’ll
now instead refer these notes to Shis, ‘cos he’s de man!
So,
Shis - here’s the dope:
In
1958 or thereabouts, Peter Dribas came from Surinam to the monastery at MSB as
a “late vocation” and was housed in the section of the monastery which we later
called the “Major Seminary”.
He
was friendly with Gerard and Thijs Koenraadt, who were then Junior Seminarians
at the “Minor Seminary" within the monastery proper.
On
his assumption as a seminarian, he apparently took the name “Ignatius” in
honour of St. Ignatius (of Loyola? - founder of the Jesuits).
He
represented the Abbey School at football competitions, and his mighty right
foot could blast the ball from one goal-post right down-field to the opposing
goal.
He
left MSB and immigrated to the Netherlands where he perhaps joined another
Dutch monastery for a period of 1-2 years before the ceased his studies for the
priesthood and was married.
He
had 2 daughters, who are now in touch with Jan Koenraadt in Holland.
Ignatius
became a Deacon for the Cathedral in Utrecht, and eventually he died in 2014.
Would
you please add these notes to the dataBase, since it seems that my efforts to
do so are bearing no fruit?
Thanks,
everyone.
Nigel

Hi, Nigel,
I
think you may want to reach out to George.
You
delegated the database to Kazim about a year ago, and then Kazim delegated it
to George who volunteered some months ago.
George
has already circulated several updates, the last I believe dated 23 June.
Until
you resume control of the database, I will assume that George's is the
definitive version.
I'm
sure you don't want two, far less three, persons issuing independently updated
versions, as then you will never know if any of them is complete.
Best,
Don

Gentlemen,
Thank
you for the many inputs you’ve sent me, as I try to solve the question of Peter
Draaibas.
I’m
sure that his two daughters will be thrilled to know that their dad was
remembered by so many of us.
I’ve
amended my version of the MSB dB to try to include your notes, and I include my
version here for anyone who would care to have a look. The data base is in the
Web page of The Abbey School.

Yes Nigel, as Don
shared,
I
kindly asked George to administrate the MSB Database for now as I am attending
to some other matters at the moment.
And
to give full attention to the database, it would be better for someone else at
this point in time to assume leadership duties.
George
kindly consented to run things and keep me up-to-date with updates so we are on
the same page.
I
am sorry I did not share this interim support of the database with you Nigel.
We
all know full well the professionalism George brings to anything he does, and
he will surely continue to do us proud.
So,
I can safely say with respect to the MSB Database, we are in safe and capable
hands with George at the helm.
Thank
you Ladislao, Don, Nigel and George.
Guys
please continue to send me info as before as I am still monitoring things as
before, just not documenting details that are being shared around and about.
Blessings
to all......Kaz

Hola Ladislao...por favor transmitir esta notica a José...un millón de
gracias
Hola Jose
Gracias por tu nota. Rezo por
Venezuela y todos Venezolanos todos los días. Me duele mucho oír, leer y
ver por todo lo que estan pasando Ustedes por alla.
Pasare tu nota a mi familia y amistades que han contribuido para
ayudarles.
Los que han ayudado más que todo son nuestros hermanos en Trinidad en el
ASAA, Abbey School Alumni Association. Mi parte personal ha sido muy
pequena comparado con lo que han hecho nuestros hermanos en Trinidad. Con
tu permiso me gustaría compartir tu nota con el ASAA.
Que Dios te bendiga,
Jorge
Thanks for your note. I pray for Venezuela
and all Venezuelans every day. It hurts me a lot to hear, read and see all that
you are going through there.
I will pass your note to my
family and friends who have contributed to help them.
Those who have helped most
of all are our brothers in Trinidad at the ASAA, Abbey School Alumni
Association. My personal part has been very small compared to what our brothers
have done in Trinidad. With your permission I would like to share your note
with the ASAA.
God bless you,

FROM JOSE MALAVER (translation by Google)
05-05-2018 Ladislao: LEAN and have the courage to
send the email to MICKIEWICZ.
06-05-2018 M Malaver Jose Inocente: Good evening
friend Ladislao. You receive my sincere thanks for the great help I receive
from your organization, which I do not have the pleasure of knowing in depth. I
want to express to all those people who in one way or another make this help
possible, which I will always be grateful to. It would be good to know more
deeply about the Foundation that you run so as not to sin badly thanked but
instead to empathize and form the great brotherhood that we are. boys
"from the Abbey school. I don't know who Mr. Mickiewicz is and I really
apologize for not having sent a thank-you email. I know very well my soul
brother Adolfo Aumaitre and you for reference and that is why I thank you so
much that they contacted me and have given me help at times when I need it most
because of my illness (chronic renal failure). Thank you, thank you very much
to GOD first for sending them to us You all have the help they have given me so
far. God bless you forever ...!
06-05-2018 Hi Jose? I don't have your name written
down. Give me your email also for the circulars of the school. I will exchange
LADISLAO for Jorge Mickiewicz and he sent it to him because he is the one who
is currently collecting only a humble intermediary to facilitate donations.
Help me get similar writings from your brothers Greetings Ladislao
06-05-2018 M Malaver Jose Inocente: Good morning
brother Ladislao, Jose Inocente Malaver
speaks to you my ID number is 4907630.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to write a message
in gratitude all that we we benefited from these contributions and rights of
manifest that because of my illness I liked that too well because I received
help from I did not expect it and put it rather I think it was God who put you
in my way and how good for you to see what to know He is not educated in a
religious school, it has benefited us 100% since from there we went on being a
brother
We will continue to be brothers for life so much I
will remember you I know Agüito I know Roberto Mezzana I know Adolfo Aumaitre I
know Murphy I know Patiño that I don't I know where it is right now, I think
that in Brazil I don't know that you don't go to Salvador to the brothers to
San Garnet and today to guard Anaco also to the Cantore brothers, I think that
or I know if the youngest or Fulvio died but I think they are still close to
Anaco, and many others that are not escaping the mind but the list is long the
list goes over 100 people and and my mail is JoséMalaver610@gmail.com
That is my email to send me that circulars that I am
very interested in reading them and more in the foundation because the most
beautiful thing that we achieved to a reunion of several pick up a pilot city
as a morning and everything will take us there to personally share with each
other and in remembrance of our priest and our school that must still exist I
think but it would be the most wonderful thing in the world that we can meet in
this in that reunion otherwise my brother I hope to have you given the
necessary information for the activities that you do in the other I understood
A little that I want Carlos and Frank
Who are my brothers send a message of thanks either
to you and the foundation to all those questions that it is possible that
through you help does not come to us without another particular brother I am in
contact with you and to order for anything that is useful good God bless you
Greetings to Adolfo and in finally you will explain to me better how things are
thank you
06-05-2018 Ladislao: I received it and that's why I
answered you. Jorge sure he will be happy since he does a decent job for us
06-05-2018 M Malaver Jose Inocente: This is a
picture of the old boys group of the Abbey school, (The photo of the Maturin
group)
06-05-2018 Yes. I want all those who receive help to
send Jorge something because he is asking for collaboration from strangers at
school but with great concern for Venezuela.
06-05-2018 Ladislao: Ok, I already corrected the
name on my phone and added your email and phone to the list. God bless Please
using the numbers put names photo you sent cannot read the names
06-05-2018 Ladislao: Thank you for sending me all
the photos you have for the circular. But scanned. Surely you have godchildren
who know how to scan at 600 dpi

to be in the circular’s mailing list or any old boy that you would like to
